Dear Friends,

Challenge and change are a part and parcel of our life. In fact, life without any change and any risk would be boring, not worth living. And, I am sure, you would agree that successful people have taken risks, have been adventurous and faced numerous challenges prior to becoming famous or rich, or reaching the top of their field. Adapting to new ways of life, constantly remaining in a learning mode, devising mechanisms to face complexities of life have enabled people to not only survive during tough times but also demonstrated to others how to remain afloat and lead the way in helping others.

Education is nothing but helping the young ones to learn ways of learning. The content continues to change as time changes, as society changes, as contexts change. However, if a person has acquired the habit of reflecting over how one can learn, either on one’s own or with the help of someone else, even technology, then such a person remains undisturbed even in the middle of great calamities, man-made or natural. This attitude to learning is what is needed in complex time of today.

India is an ancient land. Its cultural history is said to be of over 5000 years. Since then Indians have been asking this question to themselves : KO…HAM – WHO AM I? This is a question that encourages us to look withing, to reflect over the purpose of our life, and means we use to attain that goal of our life. One common answer is likely to be HAPPINESS. Everyone wants to be happy. The only difference is the ways in which they truly feel happy. Let’s consider thechallenges of the present timeas opportunities to educate us on these lines.

Lovingly
